News: Antidote Hip Hop Concert in NYC Features Choir Boy

Mic Jones a.k.a. CHOIR BOY, a young Hip-Hop virtuoso from Newark, NJ has been touted by critics as "sicker than your average and definitely one to watch" (9/05 issue of Source magazine's Unsigned Hype) for his astounding, socially conscious lyrics and remarkable, self-produced beats.

The 22nd of August marks the 2nd Annual Antidote Concert presented by MIH GROUP INC. The event, which began last year on the same day, started under the auspice that Hip-Hop had fallen ill as a result of corporate commodification, the thoughtless misogyny laden lyrics, & its gangster facade. The Antidote on the other hand is a concert in which Hip-Hop artists ban together, providing "vaccine's" to the masses with their social & political conscientiousness. This year's headlining act Choir Boy, will premiere his new musical venture; the high energy, bass heavy, club oriented, Clap Muzik.

With its looped drum machine rhythms courtesy of the MPC 2000 XL and the melodic sound effects of actual clapping as the vanguard, Choir Boy's Clap Muzik has reinvigorated New Jersey's regional Hip-Hop and R &B identity. The event will showcase New Jersey's preeminent talent as they perform their own Clap Muzik songs exclusively produced by Choir Boy. Moreover, Choir Boy will celebrate his placement in NBA2k7, rated #1 in terms of NBA video simulation which features Choir Boy's song Catch My Breath (Good Mourning America album).
