News: Beyonce and Kelly Rowland Headline Glamorama

Beyonce and Kelly Rowland Headline Glamorama
Former Destiny's Child singers Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland will headline Macy's Glamorama event, which debuted as Marshall Field's Fash Bash in Minneapolis in 1992 and in Chicago in 1999 to raise money for cancer research and the arts.

Beyonce will grace the stage at the Chicago Theatre on Sept. 29 and Rowland will headline the Minneapolis event at the Orpheum Theatre on Sept. 21. Both artists will perform songs from their new solo albums due in stores this year.

As honorary chairs of Glamorama, Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles will also introduce their clothing line, House of Dereon, which will make its runway debut during the show's grand finale.

We are excited to launch our new fall line at the most anticipated, headline-making fashion event in Chicago and Minneapolis--Macy's Glamorama," said House of Dereon founder and creative director Tina Knowles. "It is an honor for us to showcase along side some of the most talented designers in the industry."

In Chicago, tickets go on sale June 1st through Ticketmaster at 312-902-1500. In Minneapolis tickets become available on June 26th through the Children's Cancer Research Fund at 952-893-9355, the State Theatre Box Office, or by calling Ticketmaster at 651-989-5151. Tickets range in price from $50-$1,000.

This year, Glamorama will experience cutting edge fall fashion from the industry's top designers including Marc Jacobs, Badgley Mischka, Just Cavalli, Ralph Lauren, D&G, Temperley and more. Other musical acts include horn-blasting salsa fusion from indie band Ozomatli and krumping in true hip-hop style with Tommy the Clown.

On Sept. 28, Beyonce and Tina will make a personal appearance during the opening of the first House of Dereon in-store shop in the country at Macy's on State Street.
