News: Fergie's 'Bridge' Steamrolls To No. 1 On Hot 100
After achieving the second biggest leap in Billboard Hot 100 history last week, Fergie's "London Bridge" ascends four rungs to the top of the chart. The cut ends the six-week run of Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous" featuring Timbaland, which falls to No. 3 but holds atop the Pop 100 for a seventh frame.
The Fergie track also rises 2-1 on the Hot Digital Songs chart, swapping positions with Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy," which remains No. 2 on the Hot 100. Elsewhere on the chart, Cassie's "Me & U" descends 3-4, the Pussycat Dolls' "Buttons" featuring Snoop Dogg jumps 6-5 and Beyonce's "Deja Vu" featuring Jay-Z slides 4-6.
Sean Paul's "(When You Gonna) Give It Up to Me" featuring Keyshia climbs 12-7 and is the Hot 100's greatest airplay gainer. Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" warms the No. 8 spot, Yung Joc's "It's Goin' Down" drops 7-9 and Panic! At The Disco's "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" soars 15-10 to round out the Hot 100 top tier.
The chart's top debut belongs to Brooke Hogan's "About Us" featuring Paul Wall, at No. 53. Also new are Jibbs' "Chain Hang Low" (No. 69), Stone Sour's "Through Glass" (No. 87), Monica's "Everytime Tha Beat Drop" featuring Dem Franchize Boyz (No. 94) and George Strait's "Give It Away" (No. 99).
Young Dro's "Shoulder Lean" featuring T.I. fronts the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for a second week and Mana's "Labios Compartidos" leads Hot Latin Songs for the same time frame.
Rodney Atkins' "If You're Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows)" notches a second week atop the Hot Country Songs chart while Koji Kondo's "Super Mario Brothers Theme" tops the Hot Ringtones tally for an 11th frame. Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" remains atop Adult Contemporary for an impressive 15th week. Three Days Grace's "Animal I Have Become" maintains its pole position on Mainstream Rock for a fourth week and AFI's "Miss Murder" leads Modern Rock for a third. www.billboard.com
