News: Ludacris balancing his acting and rapping careers
Now in many interviews Ludacris speaks about such topics as fatherhood, future movie deals, his new haircut, his issue with Oprah Winfrey and, of course, his new album.
In the wake of critical acclaim for his acting roles in such films as "Crash" and "Hustle & Flow," Luda tells that he's trying to balance his endeavors so that one doesn't overpower the other.
"A lot of times when people start acting, something is lacking in their music when they go back to it," said the rapper, whose real name is Chris Bridges. "I'm trying to keep growing and taking my music to another level."
Also Ludacris right now releases a collaborative mixtape with DJ Green Lantern, Michael "5000" Watts and MixUnit.com titled Pre-Release Therapy: The Truth Shall Set You Free (features appearances from Uncle Murda, Jadakiss, Playaz Circle, Young Buck, Busta Rhymes, Rick James, Scarface, David Banner and O.D.B.)
Release Therapy, which hits stores September 26, features appearances from R. Kelly, Bobby Valentino, Shawnna, Shareefa and Field Mob, while production is supplied by The Neptunes, Trak Starz, Polow Da Don and The Runners, among others.
As previously been reported, Luda is currently on a two month North American tour promoting Release Therapy. The eleven city trek kicked off in New Orleans earlier this month and will wrap up in Orlando, FL on October 13th.
