News: Matthew Knowles Signs Singer Sunshine Anderson

Matthew Knowles Signs Singer Sunshine Anderson
R&B songstress, Sunshine Anderson, is returning in a big way. Not only is she dropping his first offering since 2001, but she has also just signed a deal with Matthew Knowles' Music World Music.

Through Knowles' label, Anderson will release her new album, Sunshine At Night, the follow-up to her 2001 Soul Life/Atlantic debut, Your Woman, which spawned the hit single "Heard It All Before" and went on to sell 750,000 units.

"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Sunshine Anderson into the Music World family," said Music World Music CEO, Matthew Knowles. "She has the voice, the look, and the determination of a star. Sunshine has delivered a great album and we are passionate about launching her comeback."

Anderson's first single is "Something I Wanna Give You," which has already been thrown into immediate rotation by San Francisco's KMEL radio station. A video will be shot in Los Angeles the first week in August with director Gil Green.

Sunshine Anderson is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she grew up in an environment filled with love, support, and lots of music. While attending college, she caught the attention of Soul Life CEO Mike City. After a brief stint working in human resources for the government in Washington, DC, Anderson moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a singer.

She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

The new album, Sunshine At Midnight, is expected to drop January 2007 through Music World Music.
