News: Nominations for BET Awards were announced in Hollywood.
Multiple nominations were the order of the day when the 2006 BET Awards contenders were announced.
Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott, R&B diva Mary J. Blige and Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx - all earned four nominations each for the 2006 BET AWARDS.
Kanye West, Beyoncé and Chris Brown follow with three nominations. Actor and comedian Damon Wayans, will host the show. Chaka Khan will be honored with this year's BET Lifetime Achievement Award and Harry Belafonte will be honored with the BET Humanitarian Award.
Add performers like Mary J. Blige, T.I., Mariah Carey and Kanye West, and the stage is set for an explosive night under the Western sky.
