News: Public Enemy’s Chuck D is Now On Demand
Looks like rapper Flava Flav is about to get company on the tube, not from another crazed potential paramour, but his more serious musical cohort, Public Enemy's legendary lead rapper Chuck D.
Chuck's new show also deals with passion - his love for streetball. For those not in the know, streetball is a more stylized school of hoops which was created right here in the playgrounds of NYC, one that is as much about its music and fashions as it is about the showboat moves and athleticism of its players.
The new show, Streetball on the Sportskool On Demand TV network, teaches hoopsters to integrate stylistic interpretation into their game, with segments on dunking, passing, scoring, trick dribbling drills and skills, and of course, how to make a name for yourself on the playground.
The co-host and coach for the series is Waliyy "Main Event" Dixon, a New Yorker who is a giant of the new pro streetball league, And 1 Basketball. B-ball lovers can actually also catch Main Event in the flesh when the And 1 Tour comes to MSG on August 25. Sportskool's Streetball debut in August on local Time Warner and Cablevision systems.
