News: Rza Sued Over 'Trinity' Soundtrack
Wu Tang Clan's RZA is reportedly being sued by the United Talent Agency (UTA) for allegedly breaching a contract for his work on the soundtrack for "Blade: Trinity".
the suit, which was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday (September 22), alleges that RZA (born Robert Diggs) did not pay the money he owed the Agency for procuring employment for him with New Line Productions.
UTA claims that RZA made $430,000 for his work on the soundtrack and they are entitled to $43,000 (their customary 10% commission). UTA is seeking the $43,000 plus interest.

The rapper's former representative is claiming in its lawsuit that when Rza, whose real name is Robert Diggs, was paid $430,000 for his work on the vampire film's soundtrack, the agency never received its commission.
The talent agency claims that the rapper agreed to pay 10 percent of all his musical works and that it should receive the $43,000 it is due plus interest for setting the rapper up with work on the film in 2004.
A a part of its suit filed Friday, the company has also alleged that Diggs "failed and refused, and continues to fail and refuse to pay the principal sum of $43,000 or any part thereof."
Also, RZA will be composing the soundtrack for "Afro Samurai," an animated series set to premiere on Spike TV this fall. The series is based on a Talashi Okazaki novel of the same name and tells the story of a black samurai (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) searching for the gunman who killed his father.
