Parties asserting claims against Marion "Suge" Knight or his Death Row Records have until Oct. 31 to file claims with the Bankruptcy Court or risk being barred from participating in the cases or asserting claims against Knight or Death Row. On April 4, the record label filed for Chapter 11, which allows a company to continue its business operations while it restructures.
Knight continues to manage his bankruptcy estate as a debtor in possession. Having a full understanding of the liabilities of Death Row and Knight is critical to a comprehensive reorganization.
"We believe that it is vital that all parties asserting claims come forward and assert them in a timely manner so that Death Row can come out of Chapter 11 quickly," said Todd Neilson, the Death Row chapter 11 trustee.
